Stealth Contest Winner Announcement

I want to thank everyone who entered last week’s “Stealth Contest”–that was, my unannounced, unadvertised contest tacked at the end of the Action Packed Hall of Fame Prototype Cards article. The prize one lucky winner could get was a pair of these prototypes.

Action Packed Hockey Hall of Fame #BH1 - Bobby HullAction Packed Hockey Hall of Fame #BH2 - Bobby Hull GoldThere were 11 people who entered, but only one could win.

And the lucky winner is…

Jason Barrett, aka “JBlargh“!

Here is how the winner was selected.

First, I entered everyone’s name into the List Randomizer on Random.org

I entered everyone’s name in the order of their replies–first Dave H., who was the first to comment, then Kazi, and so forth. Since everyone had 2 entries, I entered everyone’s name a second time in the same order.

Then, I clicked the RANDOMIZE button 22 times because there were 22 entries.

Now, here is what I did differently. Normally, I’d pick whosoever name showed up at the top of the list. But that gets old, so ahead of time I decided I’d do something different.

I picked the first person who’s name showed up twice in a row. Jason (Blargh–not to be confused with “Jason Vorhees“, who was also a contestant.

And that his how the West contest was won.

Thanks to all who entered.
