Make a Custom Hockey Card in Seconds

Have you ever wanted to create your own hockey card, but didn’t have the graphic design know-how to make that possible? I recently found out about Sportsnet’s Card Creator, a website where you can easily create your own free hockey cards in seconds.

While I’ve designed many of my own custom hockey cards in the past using Photoshop, I killed an hour last night playing around with SportsNet’s Card Creator. It’s super-easy to use. All you do is upload a picture, fill out a few fields, and poof!, your custom card is emailed to you instantly.

The card that is emailed to you is in high resolution (750 pixels wide by 1050 pixels tall) so you can print the cards out and they will look good. The only drawback is the sponsor logos (Chevrolet and Sportsnet) get in the way on some designs, but for free I can’t really complain.

Here’s a few examples of the designs, using some pictures of me playing rec league hockey.

If you want to make your own hockey card, visit Sportsnet’s Custom Card creator here.  And if you do make a card, I’d love to see it.
