The Evolution of Sport Card Shows

In episode five of Collectors Corner, Ron Barr and I talk about the evolution of sports memorabilia shows, Michael Jordan trading cards in Hanes underwear, Magic Johnson’s exclusive deal with Press Pass, and the record-setting sales of two graded rookie cards. Eleven minutes well spent.

Collectors Corner #4 – March 8, 2019

In the fourth episode of Collectors Corner, Ron Barr and I talk about collecting sports autographs through the mail (TTM). For those who are unfamiliar with TTM, it is when you write to a player — usually at his team’s address if a current player, or his home address if he is retired — and send a fan letter and some items asking to be autographed. We discuss how to get started, some do’s and don’ts, and more.

This clip is just 11 minutes — short enough to listen to on your next break.
