Video: Photo with Stanley

The Stanley Cupthe oldest freakin’ sports trophy in the world–was downtown in Chicago on Tuesday afternoon. Fans were able to get their picture taken with the almighty chalice.

I was one such fan, waiting about 1 1/2 hours for my photo opportunity. I think it came out pretty well.

Also, I was featured prominently on the CBS Channel 2 news in Chicago.. Here is a link to the video–that is me near the beginning (before I put my ‘Hawks jersey on), at the very end, and peppered throughout.

  1. I've had the opportunity to touch the Cup but you only touch that one if you win it.(if not bad luck) So if you ever get a chance to touch the Stanley Cup, don't! At least until we see how your hockey career plays out." ( I think I might be safe to touch it now as my "career" seems to be on a downward spiral) See my custom card on Sal's site.

  2. can't find the video but I didn't touch the Cup when I got my picture with it…didn't want to curse any future generations that might be good enough at hockey to have a chance to win the Stanley Cup…

  3. I think they pulled the video down. But my mom recorded it to DVD for me. I might have to put up my own copy of it on YouTube.
