Although I’m not really chasing after the 1963-64 Topps Hockey set, I couldn’t pass up these two cards. I paid $8 for the pair. Not bad for almost-50-year-old cardboard.
Here are scans of the back. These cards were in damn good shape for their age. No stains or creasing, just some soft corners.
More vintage goodness to come.
Vintage is good, no matter the sport.
Love that Pie card!
I finally managed to finish that set a little while ago. I have some dupes kicking about. Do you have a list?
@ 1967ers – I just started building this set, so I still need 62/66 of the cards. Will email you my list when I get home.
Speaking of which, what is your email? I couldn't find it on your site.
And do you have a list of cards you are looking for?
Hi Sal,
It's my handle at gmail.com.
I'm either dead awful or really easy to trade with, depending how you look at it. My main areas are now pre-1963 hockey and OPC ball prior to 1971 (which nobody does), but I also have gaping holes in modern stuff because I only pick up UD, and that only halfheartedly.
If you've got your lists from the early 70s, let me know.
@ Drop The Gloves! – Pie looks like he's suffering a bit from the "reefer madness" in that photograph.
