Hi. Sal I was wondering if you could explain to me the numbers on the cards. Like the 1/5 and so on. Does it mean they only made 5 ? If so there is not much chance to get the complete set is there .
Thanks
Hi John. So, the numbering means that there are only that many “copies” of that card made. So, if a card is numbered 1/5, that means there is another card that looks like it that is numbered 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 and 5/5.
Now, sometimes card companies will do a card that is a 1/1 — like the Guy Lafleur card that I pulled — with a certain color of border. Then another version of the card numbered out of 2, or 3, or 25, etc.
Back in 2010-11 Panini Certified had autographed, serial-numbered rookie cards that were numbered /799. But there were also versions of the same card (but with different border colors) that were numbered /1, /5, /25, /50, and /100…if I remember correctly.
Thanks for watching this video and let me know if you have any more questions!
