Puck Junk Food

My college buddy Dave–who recently took a trip to New York–mailed me a pair of chocolate pucks. Guess he didn’t know I’m trying to drop 15 pounds by Christmas. Anyway, one wrapper had the Rangers logo, and the other the Flyers logo.

I like chocolate. I like hockey. Seems like a good combination. So I opened up one–the Flyers puck…

The NHL logo is embossed into the chocolate, and there’s this weird texture imprinted. all around. By the way, these are not regulation size, but a bit smaller and thinner than a real puck.

As for the taste? Despite being wrapped in a Flyers wrapper, the chocolate puck did not taste bad. It was kind of like a Nestle Crunch bar–milk chocolate with crispy rice. Probably not my first choice when fiending for chocolate, but I’ll take this over dark chocolate any day.
